Our 5th and 6th grade classes recently decided to brighten up the day of some much deserving heroes. We always like to teach respect to those who serve others and try to be a blessing to them.
Both classes created poster made of candy and an inspirational message spelled out. We wanted to make it fun and get the idea that we appreciate what they do to those in need. The posters and some extra treats for the streets were delivered to the McDowell County Rescue Station 97 on Monday. A post on Facebook from the Station stated, "We would like to give a big shout out to the 5th and 6th grade from New Manna Christian School! They dropped by Station 97 today and brought some creative goodies for us. We would like to say Thank You to all of you. Your gifts are very special to us"
